GOODNA: The Ipswich Crime Investigation Branch is looking into the abduction and serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old Goodna woman last week.
The woman was walking along Smiths Rd between 4.30 and 5pm on August 14.
As she approached Bellevue Rd a white Commodore sedan containing four males of African appearance pulled up and the occupants demanded she get in the car.
Head of the investigation Detective Sergeant Les Hutton said the woman ignored the driver and continued walking towards Bellevue Rd.
“The vehicle has then continued along Smiths Rd, executed a U-turn and turned left on to the uncurbed side of the road in front of the complainant to block her passage.
Two males got out of the rear of the vehicle and bundled her into the vehicle.”
Det-Sgt Hutton said the woman was held against her will in the back of the car where she was assaulted.
She was able to escape on Kingston Rd, Kingston, when the car stopped at traffic lights at the intersection with Queens Rd at 9pm.
